The GIE (Group of Economic Interest) is an entity created for the sale of breeding stock. Its aim is to establish contact between vendors of Aubrac breeding stock and potential buyers, in a coherent and adapted way. It will also prospect for new markets, follow existing customers, and promote the Aubrac breed ( shows, herd visits, etc..).
Four important points
that lead to the creation of the GIE
- Provide an added value to the stock as well as genetic advice for selective breeders,
- Help with the establishment of new Aubrac herds in providing strong, independent and efficient advice as well as good after sale service.,
- Create a unique file of breeding females for sale, with the help of its partners,
- Complement, in harmony the work already done by the producer groups and other commercial companies.

It is born from the common will of the producer groups and Union Aubrac. The GIE for the expansion of the Aubrac Breed was created in the spring of 2007.

Type of animals :
in calf cows, cows with calf at foot, heifers : from weanling to in calf,

The GIE is financed mostly by the contributions of the member organisations or the selective breeders it works for. The GIE will advise buyers of Aubrac genetics free of charge.
